The Black Oak Zine Library

We love zines because anyone can make them, they are fun to read, and easy to share! The Black Oak Zine Library is a zine archive and distro meant to help facilitate the dissemination of anarchist ideas and radical perspectives. It consists of a physical and digital archive of over 200 zines on topics including: art, anarchism, DIY, ecology, feminism, health, police/repression, prison, queer, race, relationships, sex work, struggles, and technology. Visitors are welcome to browse the zines located on the display shelves and in the filing cabinet. If you find a zine(s) you’d like to take, a photocopier is available to take away a copy. Copies are free, but donations, especially if you’re doing a lot of printing, are welcome.

The zine library is available during open hours every Sunday from 1-4pm, as well as during other social events in the space.

We are always looking to grow our collection. If you have a title you’d like to see added, or would like to share your own zine, send it to us at blackoak@riseup.net or chat with us during open hours!
